Design and Build
The laptop uses an aluminum chassis with a restrained professional look and a matte silver finish. At 18 mm thick and 1.92 kg, it stays relatively compact for the class. The chassis is noted as MIL-STD-810H compliant, which supports the device's focus on durability for business and studio use.
Display, Audio, and Webcam
The 15.6-inch IPS panel has Full HD resolution and an anti-glare surface. The source review highlights 400 nits brightness and full sRGB coverage, which is useful for color-sensitive work. Audio is handled by four Bang & Olufsen speakers, and the laptop includes a 720p webcam with microphones and infrared support for Windows Hello.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboard has backlighting and is described as spill-resistant and wear-resistant, with coating intended to tolerate regular use and cleaning. Typing comfort is a strong point, though there is no dedicated numeric keypad. The touchpad supports multi-touch gestures, and a fingerprint scanner is placed next to it for quick secure sign-in.
Performance
The combination of a 6-core Core i7-10750H and GeForce RTX 2070 gives the ZBook Create G7 enough headroom for heavy professional applications and GPU-accelerated workloads. With 32 GB RAM and SSD storage, the tested configuration is clearly targeted at demanding multitasking rather than basic office-only usage.
Ports, Wireless, and Battery
Connectivity is practical for a workstation notebook: USB 3.1, two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support, Mini DisplayPort, SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack. Wireless support includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. The 83 Wh battery is paired with a 200 W charger, and the source indicates over 11 hours of video playback under reduced brightness and disabled Wi-Fi conditions.
Verdict
The HP ZBook Create G7 is best suited to professional users who need strong graphics performance, a quality display, and durable build quality in a more portable form than many classic mobile workstations. Its main strength is the balanced high-performance hardware package in a slim chassis. The main compromise is price, which places it in a premium segment and outside the needs of many casual users.
